Its got to be either Coleman, Schneiderlin or Lukaku for me. Would love it to be Ross but just don't think he has the right mentality, would like to be proven wrong on that though.

Think it will end up being Coleman as he's also captain for his country? Makes the most sense

Schneiderlin for me, defo not Lukaku, dont forget the captain isnt about being the best player on the pitch, he dosent seem to have that communication side to him, just let him worry about scoring.

Coleman. He's already captain for Ireland, where he's thrived on the responsibility. He's also one of the longest serving players at the club, and by the time he retires/leaves, Davies or similar would be able to step up to the responsibility.

williams for me, but then he may not be a permanent fixture next season based on summer business. Also his age means we'll be looking for another captain in 2 or 3 years max anyway, then again, our team could be totally different. I always like my captain to be a central player, there's something about coleman being a captain that i find odd.

Lukaku is for me the one showing the most desire to win and inspiration to the rest of the team so if we do manage to keep him I'd like to see him as captain

Jagielka should be stripped of this immediately tbh but sadly that's never going to happen. Looking round there doesn't seem any decent candidate to give it to who will fight to the death for Everton and inspire victories in the big games. Maybe Schneiderlin could do it but he hasn't been here long. Besic has the right attitude but is never fit. Anyone else would just be another Jagielka currently.

SD?!

Coleman - he's constantly talking to players, always keeps a level head and he's most certainly got the right attitude in terms of work-rate and determination.

Jagielka looked like he was going to vom in the tunnel pre-match, cane out looking sorry just to be on the pitch, this man can't be captain if Everton.

More to the point, i'm a firm believer of if you're not a regular first-teamer, you shouldn't be captain as how are you going to command respect?
