WHO IS THE KEY?

He seems a clever man and i'd hope he can see what needs addressing before I do. Our defensive distribution is a concern though, i guess we shall see. A CB as good as Jags who can play togger is going to be very expensive. Maybe have to hope they can settle down and not be so nervous on the ball and handle it like it's a hot brick.

I think thats why they played 3 at the back at Wigan, because they were ****e. So used safety in numbers, which still didn't work.

The spine of the team will be the key overall...CH, CM and CF.

KM could be the key player if he can stay injury free.

Yeah, it's not just a single player. Mirallas is the one with something special in his locker, but he's not quite the Bale or Suarez that saves you every week.

The key is Martinez finding the correct tactics quickly and ensuring players stay in form.

Agreed, I should have added the GK but for some reason this year I am not worried about TH.

I think the Mirallas and Jelavic partnership will be bang on form this season.

Jelavic is a lot better than he showed last season and will score 20 if he starts regular.

Can't see Baines/Coleman having the same impact this season, they haven't been used as much in pre-season as they have been in the past. Yes, it made us a little predictable, but they were bloody good at times.

So it's Mirallas for me, need's to reach in the high-teens.

For me its either Kev as most have said, but also Gibbo.

Gibbo will have his work cut out protecting the back 3 should we decide to change it. He will also be continually looking for the short pass from defenders as we will be working the ball out from the back more.

With our lack of midfielders or quality in this area, he also needs to remain motivated, knowing if he has a run of bad games, he will unlikely be dropped.

There are a few I think

Miralles is one. Jelavic is another. And Gibson I think is critical to our midfield.

And I think we might have a surprise this year....either Johnny or Naismith may become important.
