Who is John Souttar?

Also, and I'll be honest here - I don't know that much about those 2 lads (other than knowing them from Footy Manager), but Martinez has a fondness of hard-working players (McCarthy, McArthur, Barkley, Barry, Pienaar, etc) and Scotland provides hard-working players, let's face it. It's a bit of a gamble with how good they are, but the type of player tends to learn faster and be a lot more motivated to improve, etc.

He brought in Fraser Fyvie to Wigan last year and he's someone I expect to make the move away from them in the next few years, as he seems to be rather good and of the same ilk (hard working and potentially good). Gauld seems to be also the type of player, but with obvious potential and a lot better at his attacking game. I only know of Souttar as a name more than anything.

Anyway, that's my 2 pence worth.

Good scouting knowledge mate. Long time no speak - hope you're cool.

don't want any of those 3 would be overpriced and no idea if they could make it in England, give me Bruno Martins Indi any day 21, 10 caps for Netherlands, can play CB and LB NOW YOU TALKIN

You are aware that both Johnny Heitinga and Andy van der Meyde both had bucketloads of caps for Holland yeah?

aye but Bruno Martins Indi is only 21 and IS the new sol Campbell the lads amazing, big, strong, quick and can play out from the back the 3 wise men of Dundee Utd are promising lads but for the prices they would all command I would rather we looked elswhere

The young CH the RS got from Scotland (Wilson?) a few years back was getting equally glowing reports at the time. What ever happened to him?

Ended up back at Hearts (permanently), where he's now club captain, still only aged 21.

Hearts are having a really bad time though, deducted 15 points for being in administration and rooted to the bottom of the SPL, on Minus 3 points and 14 points behind the team above them.

Doesn't Gary Mackey Stevens play for Dundee Utd. Very skilful player and, for the younger fans, full of tricks. The clips of him on Youtube where he balances the ball stone dead on his left foot before heading it over the defender and collecting it round the other side is absolutely world class. (I don't know how to link to Youtube but it's well worth checking out).

If we're going to be all Football Manager about it then why don't we get Éder Álvarez Balanta from River Plate, he's a boss replacement for Distin. He's apparently decent in reality as well and has his head screwed on.

I don't know much about these lads but I'm actually as excited at the prospect of signing someone of this ilk as I am an established international or even superstar. Can't wait to see how Stones turns out under Bobbies guidance. One of these could be just the same if we manage to sign one like. Looks like there could be stiff competition though.

wish Martinez would stay away from Scotland, the success rate of signing a good player from that league is like 1/20 FFS your Spanish Robbie lad sign some sexy young Spaniard or south american
