Well, it could have been worded a bit better.

The powers that be dont really paint us in a great picture.

But when you're talking about a country, that also includes the people.
And most of this population aren't inline with the picture people see..

Could you not differentiate between English and Ingerlisch? It was worded very carefully, and accurately, and, to be honest, it is a very limited knowledge, understanding and awareness of history that would stop most from disagreeing.
