Which is our weakest position?

Howards tipple

Player Valuation: £8m
With a new air of optimism sweeping Goodison Park, following last day transfers, an FA Cup run on the way and beating title hopefuls City, it brings the question, which position in the squad will Moyes be looking to recruit for in the summer?

Goal - I don't think he will be looking to change Tim as our first choice keeper.

RB - Hibbo is a great defender but not so good at crossing when he gets forward. Neville - a great captain but his distribution is shocking at times. Can Seamus play this position well enough in the future?

LB - Baines is awesome but God forbid, if he got injured who would cover?

CB - we have four who can comfortably play there in Jags, Distin, Duffy and Johny. Will DM be thinking about how long Distins legs can keep going and bring in another CB or will he put faith in the cover we have with Duffy?

RM - is Seamus going to hold down this position?

CM - a wealth of talent. But we still need a play maker. Who should take the role or do we need to spend again?

LM - Peanuts for the end of the season, or Drenthe, but who should keep the position long term and which would you sign permanently?

Strikers - with the new signing of Jelly, we hope this is going to be the answer to our prayers. In the mean time, do we keep Straq? Is Velli going to make it? Time not found form this season, do we need a supporting striker to replace him?

We seem to have a fairly large squad, but DM must now look to improve the existing positions where we have a weakness.

Which would be your first position to scout for?

Any thoughts......

I would say right back at the moment. I am also not howards biggest fan although I think he is a good shot stopper.

Right back, without a doubt. A ton of our attacking tactics come from an overlap or a crossing full back, and the quality of crosses/passes from our RB's is appalling

Right full by a mile. Imagine how good we would be with someone like Kyle Walker/micah richards at rb bombing up and down the pitch. Hibbo is a good defender but not good enough in possesion, neville is past it, and seamus is untried and possibly a little suspect defensively.

Work Seamus into the RB role. Drenthe if he bucks his ideas up can be RM but he won't get a contract thats for sure, so that position is important.

would have to agree with others and say right back, tho howard could do with improving his decision making and taking more command of his box.

Let's see how the team shapes itself with the new players coming in.

This could be the start of something beautiful. Saha and Bily really were awful. Superb business to offload them both. Proper footy manager skills there.
