Not that I'm one to name drop, but I once got the autograph of Chester goalkeeper Grenville Millington when he visited our school in the mid seventies. No football was played mind. You're impressed, I can tell.
Alex Parker was a family friend - so no football etc etc - but he did make us a coffin for our dog (he was a carpenter).
Played against Ian Atkins, who was then manager of Northampton. Talked me through his debut goal. Nice guy.Around 2000, I was at Uni in Sheffield and playing for a Sunday League team in Dronfield. I can’t remember the team we were playing but I was directly up against Pat Heard, who made handful of appearances for us in in the late 70’s before going to Villa. I have to be honest, he wasn’t very good.
Anyone else here played against any ex-Blues?
I also once threw a ball back to Robert Warzycha when i was sitting in the gwladys...does that count?Young footballer falls down the leagues, gets sent down for GBH while out pissed, im missing the story here, right?
