Player Valuation: £500k
Around 2000, I was at Uni in Sheffield and playing for a Sunday League team in Dronfield. I can’t remember the team we were playing but I was directly up against Pat Heard, who made handful of appearances for us in in the late 70’s before going to Villa. I have to be honest, he wasn’t very good.

Anyone else here played against any ex-Blues?

I've done Football aid a few times and played with and against Stu Barlow, Matt Jackson, Derek Mountfield and John Bailey. Does that count? Oh Wayne Clarke & Lee Carsely as well although they were in the over 35's league I play in.

Lined up against big Norman Whiteside at Uni in the 90's ...

I megged him early doors so he put me in the trees second half.

Low point of the 1970s Dai Davies was a substitute teacher when I was a youth, and on a couple of occasions went in goal during the football games that masqueraded as PE lessons. I do not remember being impressed.

My closest association with a footballer is that I used to go to school with the brother of that Alex Kacaniklic who plays for Fulham.

played with someone who played at Stoke with Heath and Bracewell. Played on pitch at Flinders St when Dave Johnson was playing in goal for some reason on pitch next to us. He kicked our ball back once. Met Pat Nevin at Tranmere's training ground after he had been playing and on way out I kicked a ball

I've actually got quite a good one here. Although not strictly a proper game I did have a game of head tennis with Alan Stubbs in the comfort of my own back garden. Stubbsy's missus's mum used to live next door to me so he was there often during the years he played for Bolton. He's quite good at heading you know, and I certainly wasn't.

Steve McMahon in Sunday League in Singapore about 5/6 yrs ago.

He was playing with a bunch of the ESPN guys (one of them - Andrew Leci was in our side)

Was head and shoulders above anyone else, totally bossed everything without having to run once.

They used to draft in whoever happened to be guest pundit at the time (if they were still fit enough), so guys like Dalglish, Bryan Robson, Trevor Sinclair and McManaman used to make the odd appearance.

Leighton Baines. Played with him too. He set me up for a goal actually but I was like five yards offside FFS.
