Jamo Martinez
Player Valuation: £70m
I've always referred to my team in the first person plural form with pronouns and possessives, 'We, us, our, ours'. It's always seemed natural. I'm originally local (wool but local), but don't think it matters.
Always we, with regards to your own club - be it player, staff or fan. Why does it make you cringe though? Everyone I have ever known has always referred to their team as we.
The use of 'us' would be as a result of a tonking, as you put. IE - "They did batter us, but 'we' didn't help ourselves".
This, pretty much. Who actually thinks of something like this
IM EVERTON TILL I DIE IM SURE I AM I KNOW I AM IM EVERTON TILL I DIE!
I, WE, US, EVERTON FC
