When is it alright to call Everton 'us'

What do you say, 'they'?

I think I mostly say 'Everton'. It's only really 'they' when I'm making idle threats about never going the match again after derbies.

There's a line for saying we and us, and fully believing we and us.

For example, if a non Evertonian says 'you (Everton) played well at the weekend' I will not say thanks as if to take credit for it.
