Do you ever take note of the nutrition information? The GDA etc?

I never do. Went through a McDonalds drive through last night though and while eating it I noticed they had a GDA (guideline daily amount) - but for women only? All my mates McDonalds were the same. Sexist pigs. Any bloke who is obese should sue.

I do. If they use the simple easy way of doing it you can get a good idea of whats in your food. But half the time it could be in chinese for all the sense it makes so i just think stuff it i'll eat it anyway.

Ok I will:lol::lol::lol:

I have a little look, the new system makes it a lot more clear because instead of having random figures that would only make sense if you knew the recommended amount, now you get a percentage so it's clear to see how good/bad for you something is

I never let it impact on what I eat but I usually read it just out of curiosity really

I do, not to count calories, but rather to see what I am putting into my body.

Following on from the above - I bought a 500ml bottle of fanta yesterday & had a look at how much sugar was in it & it said 19% of your recommended daily intake which wasn't too bad I didn't think. Then I noticed that was based on a 250ml portion (or whatever the term is for drinks) so the bottle actually had 38% in it. Cheeky little trick worth looking out for if you're trying to look at what you eat

Absolutely never.

Well I used to but it was just try to pronounce the massively long chemicals they put in stuff.

On a side note, Have you seen the size of kids today? I don't know if its just here but Im 5'11 and 14-17 year old kids have gotten big! Dumber and bigger.

We'll be living in Grok City sooner rather than later.

Its really annoying when they do that. Shouldn't be allowed. Should state how much is in the entire contents, in this case a 500ml bottle.

All joking aside my wife and I have looked at all this stuff for years as being over weight we are on diets all the while (I cheat) also being diabetic I know I should pay more attention but I'm at the stage where to be honest I dont care any more,:(

I've never read the side of a box, carton, can, etc...

That said, I am trying to cut back on my sodium intake.

If you cook yourself you know whats going into your body anyway. A healthy diet can include the occasional treat anyway, moderation is the key. Although im drinking wine in the afternoon so maybe im not the best person to endorse this.
