I'm surprised Brands in his time here hasn't signed any up and coming/those on the cusp of being something special from the Dutch League.

The whole country of Holland is a constant conveyor belt of talent and Brands hasn't bothered with any.

An example is Sven Botman, left Ajax for peanuts and he ended up at Lille, Brands should have been all over that.
He cited a few Dutch up and coming players a few years ago and said the Dutch league doesn't prepare them for EPL....Same could be said of DOFs....

On that Brands tried to get Patterson but Rangers did not want to pl;ay ball also Brands did try to get Jebbison but was again thwarted, both young players to bring on, which is his way of thinking. Carlo's and Rafael's preference is for older players with experience but not much prospect for a future team., look at their trnsfers in., especially James who we just cannot shift.

As tor the other players you mention, Delph, Kenny, etc will have to wait for the contracts to run out, doubt if we can find a club to want them and will they euse?

Yeah I appreciate the attempt to get Patterson, but you have to think that if we don't sign him then there's someone who you could loan like we did with Sidibe for example. Granted I know we were in for Maitland-Niles but that seemed like us trying to grasp at the opportunity rather than someone we had lined up.

I dunno man, it just seems crazy to me that our list was just Dumfries, Patterson and a last minute Maitland-Niles approach.

There must be a list of ten right backs, the fact we didn't even loan anyone is absurd.

The quicker he is gone the better for me. Incapable of doing the job he is paid to do. Left us wide open after just 3 games of a new season and the only one who didn't see it coming was him. Would love to go back to the time when we didn't even use this pathetic Dof system. We are absolutely awful at it.

In all honesty I don't see a marked difference when we had no one doing this job. There has been no real continuity with the signings, no clear focus and it feels like we have not signed players for the right hand side when we needed them. That may not be down to him, it may be the owner not letting Brands do his job. But either way, it makes having Brands a bit pointless.

Brands did try, just think is Patterson or Maitland-niles had been landed you would be saying well done, but no you belly ache and do not think if perhaps Benitez had a say in this. Bearing in mind what I pointed out about young players and old players.

You mention going for a loan like we did for Sidibe but it depends on who is available, so who was avilable?

I think its reasonable to assume that a DoF of a premier league football club, would have a list of potential players at a position of immediete need.

Which is what the post was saying.

If there had been anything like the number speculated we would have some rumours going round or RBs available.
