After ten years of Brown as the Chancellor I can truthfully say that year on year I and my wife have paid ever increasing amounts of tax and we are pensioners.
I also remember a few years ago when I was still working, that Brown increase the old age pension by 75 pence per week. Also Brown single handedly destroyed the pensions of hundreds of thousands of people and brought on the collapse of final salary pension schemes. How many years has Brown failed to increase your code numbers like he did this year which is also tantamount to tax increase. Next year it gets worse because after his con trick of a budget, when he abolished the 10% band and lowered the basic rate by 1%, it meant all those workers earning less than £16000 per annum will pay more tax next year than this year. Add to that in a period of 18 months he will have increase the taxes on fuel by 6 pence a litre.
