But what if Everton changed? Got owners with dodgy human rights records? Got sponsors with dodgy affiliations? Signed people you had an ethical problem with? Changed colour of the shirt? Moved grounds? Changed badge? Is there not a point where the club essentially stops existing as anything but a name? Or is the name all that matters?

Well, well, well... another one tries to contemplate little deeper about an existential nature of an entity that is a football club. Don't do that or you will find yourself quiting football and Everton. I was close, but i became dummer so such things doesn't bother me anymore.

I will never stop supporting Everton - I have always watched them since 1971. However, I did say that if our ground is moved outside the city boundaries (e.g. Kirkby) I would stop going to home games. I stand by this statement because I feel strongly about our heritage and our history. #itsourcity #wewereherefirst

It would probably have to be something similar to what happened to Wimbledon.

That's one thing we have as an advantage over the American sports teams. We are not franchises and as such can form a team and start again. If for some reason we were bought out and relocated like Wimbledon, you know that a new club would form immediately and fill the void of a club. In the US, there lack of pyramid structure makes it very difficult.
