What to do while young?

I had my Head bag in the exam hall, and once that final A Level exam had finished I headed straight to Lime Street, met another blue and we boarded a train to Euston.

With an inter Rail and nowhere near enough cash on us, we headed for Sardinia. Three and half weeks later, and I was home after my first World Cup and a trip around Italy that is lasting me a lifetime.

England nearly won it. I fingered a Brazilian bird in a shop doorway in Genoa (the shop was still open), and had the time of my life.

Go out and explore, fella. Get in done whiles you can. Life soon becomes boring as....

All these shouts for travelling are spot on.

Right now I could quit my job and travel the world without worrying about running out of money. I'd come back after a year and still have money to tide me over for a few months while I searched for a job.

But it's the worry of not finding anything that terrifies me and stops me from doing it.

just do it. I did it when i was 28 and am doing it again in december - i have a wife now who is coming with me. Worry about it later. we'll come back with nothing. Except 12 months of amazing memories.

go travelling but don't keep posting crap online about it. that sickens my hole.
people won't want to talk about it when you get back. actually, tell as few people as possible that you are going.

its actually quite cheap to travel once you get to another country and you aren't eating out and boozing all the time.
if you can go with 1 or 2 others you can do a large country quite cheaply by sharing car hire/buying costs.

exactly the same for me.

Read as much as you can on a variety of topics. It will pay off not only in your professional life but personal life as well.

Add to this, watch as many movies as you can from different eras.

For exactly the same reasons as above.

Definitely go travelling. Forget about what happens when you get back, I have friends who spent years trying to find a decent job (some still haven't),and they didn't even get out there and see the world. Sure, I missed out on the housing boom, and I might be a bit higher up in my current job, but would I give up all the memories? No chance.

You can do SE Asia for peanuts, me and the wife did 5 months from Indonesia > Hong Kong on about £2k.
