What realistic expectations can we have for next season?

With Arsenal's fixtures and it being so close between us, United and Spurs it's obviously difficult to predict where we're likely to finish. Unfortunately I think there's too much of a gap between us and 4th now so I see us missing out on the Champions League but that leaves us with the Europa League. The wheels will fall off Spurs sooner rather than later and I think Arsenal will manage to keep hold of 4th.

With that said, what are our realistic expectations for next season? Lukaku and Traore will be gone you'd have thought, Deulofeu may well stay for another year but with Tata Martino teetering on the brink there's no certainty of that. The positives are that Kone should be fit and we'd have to be seriously unlucky for him to have another lengthy injury next season.

As always, no one knows what funds are going to be made available so it's difficult really to identify targets. Will we utilise the loan system again? I'd have thought it's our best bet but in that circumstance who would you be looking to get in? Will we manage to keep hold of Coleman? The sharks will surely be circling around Barkley...it could be a very long summer

It'll be Martinez second season, the sometimes notorious second season, so what do you see ahead for us? Do you think we'll kick on or might we be in for a tough time?

Personally I'm inclined to think we'll kick on, no doubt we'll have a fight on our hands for Champions League but Martinez has shown the world what he can do with this team, we've played some of the best sides in the league off the park. He's shown his prowess at the lower end of the market already here and at Wigan and I'm inclined to think he'll do it again if he can bring in the bodies.

What are your thoughts?

I think RM will have gained experience from this season with regards to squad and players will look on us as a team they would like to play for, so I feel we will be stronger.

Far too msny variables to be able to say until near the start of next sesson, what i do expect is for roberto to continue to transform us more towards the way he wants us to play, if that happens then its a positive step

OK, then we should aim to win the league.

Well of course, the aim has to be to win every game. I suppose what it is I'm really asking is where do you see us ending up?

We just don't have the squad to sustain a league challenge, though I suppose that's why the summer's so crucial
