What kind of chairman would you rather have for Everton?

Debate in a couple of threads lately, I feel a poll is needed to get a snapshot as to what we roughly are feeling.

Simple question, just answer what you personally feel. Tricky to suggest what kind of success (or failure) we would experience, as the likes of Leeds, Blackburn, Sunderland and to a lesser extent Villa have shown that money doesn't always buy happiness.

So let's just focus on the type of chairman, and imagine any success/failure scenario you like with the choices.

In terms of how much money they are able to pump into the club, the 4 candidates are in order...so Bill the least, and the i-don't-care option has the most.

I notice that you've not inluded a choice for the sort of foreign owner that Liverpool have, the foreigner who will readily invest in the playing staff at the club but not to the frankly ridiculous levels of Chelsea and City.

Yet those are the exact type of chairmen that you reckon Liverpool fans would rather have Kenwright over. Funny that.

John Henry is the 4th option, clearly.

If you want a John Henry for Everton, then vote that one. All megarich foreign owners who aren't familiar with British football go here. See also Tan, Hicks/Gillett, Assam, Venkys, Man City's Sinatra bloke and their current Sheikh, Abramovich etc.

Not quite. It stemmed from the Vincent Tan thread, about if we'd like a chairman like that.

There's options between Kenwright and the likes of i-don't-care, which are the middle two.


I know you believe that not one single football fan cares who the owner is, as long as money and success follow. But you're wrong.
