Clive Thomas in 1977

Neville getting crocked on a ploughed field at Lansdowne Road that same year.

Lukaku burying a few chances and a penalty at Wembley in 2016.

Carlisle bloody United in 1974 and in 1975.

Crystal Palace getting postponed due to the storm in February 2014.

Alan Hansen’s Hand of Beelzebub in 1984.

And of course, Heysel in 1985.

Safe to say, that Andre Gomes header will haunt everyone here for the rest of our lives.

Any other infamous Everton "what ifs" that still haunt you? What might have been had something turned out differently?

It won't haunt me. The missed chances, the goal and result are just bumps in the road. Otherwise the road seems to be heading where we want to go. It's an away league game, admittedly a derby, but for me the derby is always more significant in the build up and during the actual game. Once it's done it's just something that happened - win, lose or draw I can never be that arsed about stuff that's gone.

What if Bolton hadn't had a perfectly goal not given in 97? What if Hans Segers dealt with Barry Horne's long shot?

He literally headed straight at Alisson from three yards out after he'd charged from midfield and Bernard crossed for Walcott to head it across goal...

The ball hit him on the rebound and was then cleared off the line by Liverpool's Gomez.

That then rebounded off Sigurdsson but somehow went out for a corner.
I'm pretty sure it went out for a goal kick not that it really matters
