Not having that. You only have to switch to a sports channel to be reminded. Not to mention the decomposing space cadets, who have suddenly appeared from their concrete tombs. Jacko's Thriller springs to mind for a comparison.I'm enjoying this season too much to care what they are doing.

joint player of the month, seriously!
winning the title for the 96
City have 4 remarkably easy home games to come (West Ham, West Brom, Villa, Sunderland) - they need a point at Liverpool (or three) to practically put themselves in the box seat for the title, although they still have to go to Palace (ought to win) and Everton (might get a result) - from our point of view a draw at Goodison might be ok, that would depend on how we progress in the meantime. If we still badly need to beat City (to stay well ahead of Arsenal) then it's likely a real crunch game. (nb City will win the league with 5 wins and 2 draws on Merseyside).
Next, if City don't close out - let's say they lose at Anfield - then it could come down to the Liverpool-Chelsea game which might hand the title in any one of three directions (Chelsea if they win, Liverpool if they win and City if Liverpool lose and Chelsea don't close out).
It's hard to imagine Everton getting above 4th place. The most we can get is 81 points. Leaving aside the two games at Anfield this posits the following final table - assuming, for now, the top 3 don't fail to win any other game (goal difference only estimated based on a 1-0 win since any other score is purely a guess)
Man City 37 +61 88 (including a win at Everton)
Chelsea 37 +45 84
Liverpool 36 +53 83
Everton 38 +27 (or more) 81
Arsenal ??
Looking at the 2 key matches at Anfield - if Liverpool win both then clearly we all know who should win the league.
So you can deduct City's 3 points at Goodison from these outcomes to see if our game is critical to City's chances.
Liverpool WL - Chelsea 87, Liverpool 86, City 85
Liverpool LD - City 91, Chelsea 85, Liverpool 84
Liverpool LW - City 91, Liverpool 86, Chelsea 84
Liverpool DD - City 89, Liverpool, Chelsea 85
Liverpool DL - City 89, Chelsea 87, Liverpool 84
City lose at Everton - Chelsea are favoured
Liverpool DW - City 89, Liverpool 86, Chelsea 84
City lose at Everton - City's GD good enough to win title.
Liverpool WD - City 89, Liverpool 87, Chelsea 85
Only now is a City loss at Everton really critical
