What if Liverpool won the title?

I get that people are scared at the thought of our delusional neighbours winning something and tediously hanging it over our heads at any opportunity, but the obsessing is embarrassing. I bet they're absolutely buzzing off it.

its strange because they already have frigging shed loads to hang over us

one more will make little difference imo

Not at the expense of your own team Dave. Never.
To what end, though? We haven't got the cash to push on under these owners. It's all pointless. There can be no major progression to challenge for leagues. In that context I'd rather we took a hit than see Liverpool doing anything major.

It's not in the slightest controversial. In fact I think it's more weird to be settling for a pat on the head decent finish and looking on relaxed as the Kopites pick a title up.

this generation of kopites are uber beauts though mate, they've never won a title and I would hate to see them do so, I watched the champs league final with my dad whose a red, and was a little bit pleased for him at the time, I've had that night thrown back in my face so often, I'll be praying they don't do it, I'm thinking of emigrating anyway, that would really seal it

I Would say it bad for around 6-7 months then it dies down

Very confusing attitude this.

The champions league would go a long way to providing this push. But you're right we should definitely just give up and hang all our future hopes on Liverpool winning nothing else.

Arsenal have a run in that dreams are made of. They can even afford to see us win our game in hand and beat them at Goodison and still be a point ahead.

Realistically, it's just not happening.

We are stuck in limbo and will remain that way for years to come. In those circumstances is it not natural to want a bit of peace without having some Kopite worshipping media frenzy erupting and sustaining itself for years to come?

all things do settle down don't they, it would be an awful summer though, imagine bumping into some wool on holiday when he clocks your accent

They win it in May I would say the media coverage for about 2 weeks would be afwul, City FM,Granada Reports,Talk Sport and the papers

But come June the World Cup build up begins and all focus will be on that

Avoid the media for a few weeks and you would be sound

knowing my luck gerrard will lift the world cup

They are going to do it aren't they ,I suppose they had to do it eventually the money they have thrown at it over the years .

Its going to be [Poor language removed] horrible being around them .

...yes, it's in their hands on their own pitch.

They are now clear favourites for me. City look like they'll press them to the line, but I honestly cant see these dropping more than a coupe of more points.

Obviously things can change quickly in footy, but right now they are looking destined to be champions.

Bookies make City odds on - you can still get over 2/1 for Liverpool.

Kin ell that's just giving cash away. Lump on.
Should we lump on as much as we did on them being out the top 4 by christmas?
