After thinking about this question more, I'm going with no they won't win the league its impossible. Because they just won't. They've got a good keeper, one good midfielder and two good forwards, they can do one.

I'll say one good thing about this "will they win the league" scare.

It makes their looming return to the CL a bit more palatable.

At this stage I think most of us will heave a sigh of relief if they "only" finish 2nd, 5th or 4th even though that puts them back in the big time.

Whereas a late run from off the pace to clinch a spot on the last day would leave us fuming.

Exactly, how can a true blue cannot care about RS winning the league? If there was two options given to me that one have us getting relegated and other RS winning the league. I would happily see us going to championship. Of course i am bitter, but who else is not about their 5 CL's and 18 leagues?

At Goodison, or in the pubs pre or post match, you could have a perfectly good conversation with a blue, even if you are a red, and everyones sound.

The sad thing is the younger generation are seeing this and its going to become the norm if we're not careful.

Its because they have loads of their own [Poor language removed] fans happy to embarrass them online so they have to pretend to be blues to try to embarrass us to make them feel somehow better. Obviously they're not that arsed about us having one of their best seasons for years.

In the process of doing it, and they're not very good at it, they further embarrass the decent local kopites about.

It's not that, its more that they still go on about it despite the last league won being nearly a quarter of a century ago and the European Cups were mainly even further back, save for the spawniest win in its history.

Don't worry mr bitter, just sit back and wait for the meltdown when they lose the league. Also i think they are in for a massive shock soon, a business simply cannot continue to make £50m losses year upon year.

I'm guessing your blue credentials are not as strong as you suggest they are.
