Manuel Fernandes was one I really liked. I think he could have been another of Moyes' rough diamonds, much like Arteta and Pienaar, but it wasn't to be in the end. I'd take Yakubu back as well.
Arteta is a different player now but still easily good enough to play every week for Everton. I'd have been disappointed if Cahill had come back on loan in January, but to be honest he was never someone I really rated anyway.
I'm admitting that I haven't read the whole thread here, or even the OP. Does it have to be someone still playing?
Any way, why me? Someone mentioned Dixie Dean earlier. Kanchelskis would be more use than him.
Diniyar.....obvious talent.....chances wasted blah, blah, blah....but yes, I,d have him back. Best long-range shot since Sheedy.
If it weren't players playing now, one of the less obvious for me would be Richard Gough....absolute colossus and a gentleman at the same time. Same style and approach as Sylvain.
I think his time in the PL came too early and he just wasn't ready for it. The bloke that used to sit next to me in the paddock when I had my ST used to hate him. From the first minute he would be on him
"no Billy !"
"jesus Billy!"
"f"ck off Billy!"
Regular as clockwork
You never really rated Cahill ? He was probably Moyes greatest signing
