Anders Limpar. Barry Horne. Big Nev.

what i'd give to have a keeper even 70%(purely made up) as good as Nev now we would be CL places i reckon, complete speculation mind. I'd love Pieman in this squad as well to do the graft or Carsley.

I'd cream my knickers to have a striker like Lineker back as well.

Kanchelskis is 44 years old and retired. Doubt he would improve our team very much now.

I'm admitting that I haven't read the whole thread here, or even the OP. Does it have to be someone still playing?

Any way, why me? Someone mentioned Dixie Dean earlier. Kanchelskis would be more use than him.

From the present Rooney. Not everyones cup of tea but I think he's more mature now.

From the past Alan Ball. Don't need to explain. You all know.

We wouldn't have used him this season anyway mate. Look at Oviedo, similar player to Drenthe, hes arguably better than Drenthe but not a pisshead, and he's hardly had a sniff.
No i wouldn't have kept him after that game just used him for that game then got rid.

We've had some cracking players play for us over the years!

I can remember when I first starting going regularly, I was about 7, and Peter Beardsley used to run the show. He used to skin everyone before banging one in, or if he wasn't doing that he would be orchestrating some kind of attacking move. A quality player!

I certainly wouldn't have him back with open arms, but Nick Barmby was also a very good player on his day, and I guess his style was somewhat similar to Beardsley's. I love that type of player! Teddy Sheringham stylee. It would be ace if Barkley becomes one of those players, but it's yet to be seen, IMO.

I would gladly welcome back Duncan Ferguson as an assistant manager or even a manager so he could scare the crap out of the players if they put in a poor performance.
