Last night we chose to honour Everton’s glorious weekend victory in the only way a truly devoted fan could: with a lavish Chinese takeaway, a feast fit for winners. The flavours were exquisite, the celebration heartfelt… and the aftermath catastrophic.
Somewhere between the sweet-and-sour and the salt-and-pepper, a storm was unleashed—one that has now swept through the house with the force of a late-winner at Goodison. My wife, once proud of both her husband and his team, is now marching from room to room with windows flung open, insisting that no celebration on earth is worth this level of atmospheric destruction.
In summary: Everton triumphed, the dinner was magnificent, and my digestive system has declared its own horrible extra time.
Up the Toffees and may the air clear before the next fixture.

Had a few things leftover from the weekend to use up so had another roast dinner: Roast Chicken, Roast Potatoes, Carrot & Swede, Cauliflower and Gravy. This time however cut some fresh kale from the garden to have instead of sprouts. Followed this with a mince pie and some custard I had left. Yet again - stuffed.
