I've eaten most wild animals in the US and Oz, not knowingly eaten horse, how does it compare?I had a horse tenderloin steak with red wine/balsamic reduction and wild mushrooms in onion and cream sauce ,served with potato segments roasted in butter .
Sorry needed to go outside ,no it most definitely doesn't ,we have some like tench that do but I don't eat them .I believe the royals eat perch as I watched a cookery progam and they called it the royal perch .It is feast time now for us as they need to cull the deer and elk so we can get a lot from our friends ,two days ago we had elk tartare and some even bbq deerYeah, I meant fatty as in plump, very tasty.
Doesn't perch have a reputation for having a 'muddy' taste ?
I find it is a stronger taste than beef but nicer than steak ,elk or deer .We pay from 25 to 50 € for a kilo which is 2.2 pounds .Horse is my favourite red meat but I have a soft spot for lamb .I've eaten most wild animals in the US and Oz, not knowingly eaten horse, how does it compare?
