Slice of Marrow Cake - needed a way to use up a marrow from the allotment and found you could make a cake with them similar to carrot cake. Gave it a go this afternoon and it turned out lovely. Haven't baked a cake since school in the eighties so I was surprised it turned out so well.

Just made some sausage, onion and black pudding rissoles, with chips and beans ; very nice even if I do say so myself.
