she's arguably the most influential individual in electronic music development, especially the dark ambient & techno genres, check this proto-techno out from 1963:

That's really cool i have never heard that before, mad to think it's 1963!

Have you ever heard this:

It's Kraftwerk before they were Kraftwerk and as a six piece rather than four.

Been listening to some System of a Down today - no new music since 2005 is just unbelievable really, but I guess it feeds their legend.

Anyone seem them live in the interim? A lot of chat online that Serj doesn't have the pipes anymore, and no Serj means no System. Think they're playing a few shows in the US this Autumn.

nice mate! i only knew this from those older Kraftwerk works:

Yeah it was a very short crossover period and there is not information about the Organisation available, it seems Tone Float was very much a studio LP. It was recorded in 67/68 but not released until 69 by which time Kraftwerk had formed and already started recording Autobahn which was released in the later part of 69.

best metal album ever?

this for me:

Has to be "And Justice For All..." by Metallica for me with "Vulgar Display of Power" by Pantera a close second.

My favourite Metallica that...hypnotic metal, even a little proggy. Have you heard the Justice for Jason unofficial remasters? There's quite a good one out there but can't remember which as looking now youtubes is swamped by different versions.

I used to like Pantera, tho' the music hasn't aged well.

Machinehead's Burn My Eyes is still decent if you're in the mood for massive riffs and deep drums.

Headswim - Flood was an underrated killer borderline-metal album with soul. Saw them live back then, thought they were gonna be huge but it never happened.

Some Opeth is good tho' I prefer their milder proggy-rock stuff over the older black metal stylings. Don't normally like that throaty growly metal voice, Dimmu Borgir are an exception, who are ridiculously theatric in a fun way!
