What are you currently listening to?

In a previous life I taught high school band, and I want to let you lot know on behalf of all the young drummers I taught, that well, Neil Peart is God, and that's that. If you're not down with that, you can just pi$$ off. Rush - good band - tight. They'll do for a bunch of Canadians. Just don't f'in sing.

P.S. - As long as Geddy Lee draws breath, I can be secure that I'm not the ugliest man in North America. That high-pitched voice sets off my "Beegees" alarm - the brain just shuts down. That said, I love to see them live in an arena show - last time, they had stacks of rotisserie chicken roasters where the giant pile of Marshall stacks are usually found for everyone else - they're going thru the house system, so it's just for show, anyway. Now and then, they'd just pull off a few chickens and throw them to the crowd. A previous show had washing machines - they'd run the laundry during the show. :D

Did you just tell me to [Poor language removed]?

Just delivering a message from about seventy fifteen year old guys. Most of them have a pinch of Copenhagen stuffed where you can't see it, a Nascar hat on, and a pair of drumsticks shoved in their back pocket. Not a very intimidating lot, but they do have numbers and they're clever and ruthless, and generally have a good sense of time. Good luck. I'm just the messenger.

Peart is a real solid professional, though. Model of a rock drummer.

Raaaaaaaaaaadio Capi-taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal

dire spanish radio station that seems to have a couple of "now that's what I call music" c.d.'s from the time when they were followed by a single number, which they just keep playing over and over, at least hit shuffle ffs.

I want to throttle Chesney Hawkes more than I did back then.
