Did you the song is a literal praise chorus? "Crimson and clover, over and over" is a reference to a Tommy James and the Shondells song. There's a Motley Crue reference, too - "kick start my rock n roll heart."
I prefer their Futures and Clarity albums over Bleed American, but generally with the band you can't go wrong!

Great vocals and swirling guitars.
The Twilight Sad are easily one of my favourite bands. Those two are often compared to one another, but I'd never been too bothered about Frightened Rabbit. I was just beginning to realise how good The Midnight Organ Fight was when Scott Hutchison died. It's very sad to listen to now though of course.
TS's new song (which I expect is in part referring to Hutchison) is really good, though I preferred their early post-rock influenced sound to the more electronic stuff. Their debut album is right up there.

I’m liking the new one, especially when the guitars start to kick in around 1min 30, it’s got White Lies vibes.
Proper goosebumps listening to some of their stuff.
