Didnt know this band existed 12 hours ago, listened to a podcast about Jimmy Eat World and all of a sudden they reveal this absolute gem. Such a bit of me these. Cant recommend the Bandsplain podcast enough, theres a great one on the Clash for you lot

Did you the song is a literal praise chorus? "Crimson and clover, over and over" is a reference to a Tommy James and the Shondells song. There's a Motley Crue reference, too - "kick start my rock n roll heart."

I prefer their Futures and Clarity albums over Bleed American, but generally with the band you can't go wrong!

Yeah, the vocalist from Promise Ring just sang lines referring to other songs.

I like all 3 albums but Bleed American is the hit factory. Doesnt come close to Something to write home about by The Get Up Kids for me though. But that is probably a top 3 favourite record for me.
