I hope I like the new Killers stuff. This sounds alright so far
They're the best example of a band I can think of that I went from being obsessed with in the early days, to gradually not really liking them at all, other than the odd new song or first album. 2 of the best gig's I've ever been to though.
Every new album comes out and I think, "I hope this is Hot Fuss Part Deux" but it never is, sadly.

I literally just said the exact same thing to somebody. They were never really a true 'rock' band but Sam's Town moved them further away and Day & Age pushed them over the cliff into techno cheesy garbage. Similar story with Bloc Party in that their first album was ace and they've never really matched it.
Agree that Silent Alarm is their best, but Weekend in the City and Intimacy have some really, really fine work on them as well.
a very 'stadium' sound to it.
