Lana Del Rey has a fantastic voice indeed. Caught a bit of her the other day, she's going to be pretty huge I think. What's going on with the lips though?

Introducing: "The Sand Band" and their debut album "All Through The Night".

The Sand Band from The Wirral/Liverpool consists of 5 members and are an alternative Indie band with elements of Folk, Gospel, Country and Blues. Their album "All Through The Night" released in early in 2011 has quite an atmospheric, predominantly acoustic sound which is rich with beautiful melodies and lyrics and they have been likened to various bands such as The Coral.

The lead singer and guitarist David McDonnell (who was a recording assistant on Roots and Echoes by The Coral) is also a member of Noel Gallagher's backing band in the debut High Flying Birds album. Quite simply, Noel liked David's sound and asked him to perform Guitar live in his band.

This band first came to my attention a couple of years ago, I used to work with the Bass/Organ player; Ben Curtis at our local Domino's. I have some funny memories of delivering pizzas back in the day, the easiest job I have ever had! He's an extremely nice lad and it's great to see him doing so well.
