Kudos to Alio.
All very true. The Last Broadcast was my soundtrack of the summer 2002. A 4 hour drive to Newquay couldn't sound any better. I reckon that album was played 50 times that week on repeat.
Silent Alarm is Bloc Party's best, but I can't say which is my favourite of theirs, it changes from time to time. Like the Strokes, Is this it, is their finest hour, but we all know Room on Fire is the true great
Fo' sure. I think their new album is ace as well though. It took AGES for it to grow on me to that extent, but it did.
I definitely agree with you two on that, Room on Fire is certainly my personal fave. First Impressions of Earth was a disappointment, the first 3 or 4 songs are ace like but then it just went downhill.
I'm yet to give Angles a prolonged listen, I keep forgetting about it.
I like to pretend "First Impressions of Earth" doesn't exist. It's sh*te.
And Al' will love you for the Campesinos listening!
Haha it was a bit of a stinker like, I don't really know what possessed them to release it. Well I do, cash obviously, but I wish they hadn't. It's a shame because the title track especially is really good.
Al sent it to me via Dropbox along with a few others that I'm yet to listen to. Nice album from what I've heard.
What a man.
