actually mate, I know it's uncool to be chart driven, but True Faith really should be top place away from the JD stuff.
All things considered, True Faith was magnificent, no matter whether Trevor's or rugby tossers went up to the DJ and asked for it in nightclubs.
It was the 80's equivalent of Smells like teen spirit, a brilliant song that was devalued by proper nobbers knowing what it was and asking for it to be played.
Despite knowing nothing about the band or what they stood for or what they had recorded before or since.

I’ve never even thought of it like that tbh, as all the places that I used to go to that played it, where either student or indie clubs, who played a real mix of stuff.

Ceremony.
Touched by the hand of god.
Everything has gone green.
Your silent face.
Regret.
Crystal
Thieves like us.
The perfect kiss.
Bizarre love triangle.
Fine time.

Everyone one of them is a full on banger, all driven by Hooky`s bass.
I went to An Afternoon with Pat Nevin and asked him at the end - if you were on Desert Island Discs what would be the one disc you’d save out of your choices ? . He chose Ceremony.
