The new Black Country New Road album, Forever Howlong. My most anticipated of te ear so far having enjoyed their first 3 singles. But it left me a bit underwhelmed tbh. Might be a grower. This one is probably the best of the rest.

It's a beautifully crafted album Sue with superb musicianship. It's just lacking the umph from previous albums for my taste.

I've no idea who's singing here. All three female members share the vocals but they all sound the same to me

The switch up from drum machine to real drums at 1:20 is

Call me a traditionalist but the whole reggaeton thing can GTF. And, as far as the lyrical content, don't bytch about an environment which you knowingly foster/ed. Too many elements of the song rubbed my rhubarb entirely the wrong way. Far cry from top tunes like Jaws.

Proof that sometimes the algorithms do work. Was listening to the new BCNR album again this morning, and when it finished the Spotify algorithm dished this up for me. Never heard of this London based band before but it made me want to listen to more. I listened to their EP released last year and I absolutely loved it. Right up my street.
