….ffs, let me tell you of this afternoon, this is my excuse;

I treated my son and his wife with Aintree tickets today. I dropped them at the course and we took their 8 month old. Mrs Eggs then went down with D&V, meaning I had to get the older girls from infants school. 3 girls to look after on my own. Bathed the baby, made her bottle with one hand whilst holding her with the other. Got her dressed and into her cot.

Bath time for the 5 and 6yo. “Grandad, you have to put our hair in buns for the bath”, no chance I said “just don’t get it wet”. Nighties, read them two books and bed just in time for boozed up Mummy and Daddy came home.

I’m a zombied hero tonight and haven’t had a drink (yet).

Don't understand why there's so much hate for then out there. No they aren't the greatest rock band ever but some people are just music snobs.

The new Black Country New Road album, Forever Howlong. My most anticipated of te ear so far having enjoyed their first 3 singles. But it left me a bit underwhelmed tbh. Might be a grower. This one is probably the best of the rest.

Don't understand why there's so much hate for then out there. No they aren't the greatest rock band ever but some people are just music snobs.

I think it's a combination of the theatrics and how much pop/RnB elements they add to their music turns a lot of people off.
I think they're quite interesting as a band, it's a pretty unique sound they have.

It was better than I feared it might be. Some of it I genuinely enjoyed, but the issue is ten seconds later they're doing full-on drama school whimsy. Often it sounded like a really bad Joanna Newsom song.

I properly grimaced at 'she screams in the shower, lost all of her power' though. That's unforgivable.
