Met him in a pub in Gloucestershire once, he was drunk as a skunk, had a great time. Got him to sign one of my Traffic albums, turned out an indescribable scrawl. lol

It's my only claim to fame, never met anybody else remotely famous.

I worked with Pete Best's young brother, Roag, in the early 1980s. Saw the Pete Best Band in Lowestoft, and caught up with Roag, and met Pete backstage.
And the legendary Hubert Sumlin, guitarist to Howlin' Wolf, and revered by the likes of Clapton & Keith Richards (who financially suported him in the last years of his life, and paid for his funeral in full).

My family managed to track down the manufacturer in the US, and bought me one for a 'milestone' birthday, so I always gig with it.
For those who may be interested, the guitar is a 2009 '08 Gibson Les Paul Standard. The '08' denotes the new specs introduced in 2008.
