What are you currently listening to?

Going to upload some of The Microphones/Mount Eerie to the DB.

I completely forgot about that. I haven't set it up on my new laptop. Have people still been adding to it?

I think it's brilliant.

This is the first time I've heard him.

The only one I can recall right now is "Seriously" which is a really good song. I think the name Shlohmo put me off at first, thought he was just another one of these HYPE DnB/'Chillstep' producers or something.

Speaking of which, mainstream DnB is so bad it makes me want to cry. I stumbled across some songs by some producers I used to listen to about 4 or 5 years ago, and most of them have sold out and just produce basically what is a naff pop song with a continuous drum riff in the background.

My mate told me to listen to this the other day, not my usual thing but I quite like it!

New laptop twiiiinnnnsssss. Holllaaaaaa.

I've not listened to anything of their's to be honest. Am I missing much?

Mate it's horrid, where I used to get my tunes has gone down so I literally have no music now.

I enjoy listening to them myself like. Some songs can sound a bit samey and usually the lyrics drag on about how much Nathan(is that his name?) hates himself but they're good. Easy to listen to. Gimme a Knife is a personal favourite of mine.

I'm not too fussed about them tbh, and the singer is a bit of an idiot (although i can't remember what he did to make me think this, but it was something annoying).

Same. I can't afford to buy music at the moment (I used to buy 2-3 albums a week at one point) and the place I got my music from has been wiped out. Plus, I don't really want to be filling this new £1250 laptop with loaded of viruses and stuff. If I downloaded from another computer and then USB'd it over would the 2nd computer get the dodgy stuff too? I know so little about computers.

You've got a mac, right?

I can't afford music at all me. Haven't got a job, yet.

If you d/l music from upload sites like rapidgater, uploaded etc you won't get a virus.

Aye. Mainly because Windows 8 is so bad it's offensive.

As I said, I used to buy a few albums a week when I was working, I've been a student for 4 years so I just can't afford to buy. I'm looking forward to working again and getting back to it, it's nice having a shelf full of CDs. I've considered starting off a vinyl collection but I wouldn't be wanting to buy albums twice, as you can't put a vinyl on MP3!
