ive always a few criticisms of Everton whether we win lose or draw. last night I was baffled as to why McGeady, who was as useful as a lump of wood and on a yellow, was not hauled off at HT and replaced by Kev. Also why did Barry remain on whilst Besic was taken off ? What about Kone? would he not have made an impact by replacing Naismith druing extra time? should Eto not have been even on the bench?
Also Joel was utterly useless with regard to saving penalties as the scoreline reflects. He actually dived before every pen was hit by west ham.
Dived too early and let the West Ham Players just pick out where they wanted. Embarrassing

Most penalties go down the middle. Its a fact.

So I too was surprised that Robles always went one way or the other rather than holding his ground. And actually he was not useless as he stopped as many penalties as Adrian. He played really well and I hope he continues to improve and gets the job full time.

EFC bossed the game for long periods with ten men. I thought EFC were brave and although we lost we lost in the right way.

You may want to carp, righteously, about Besic being taken off, but Barry staying on was no detriment to us last night.

I made a point of adding an IMO when I spoke of the current worth of those two players to the team, and I wasn't thinking just
of last night.

It was probably Barry's best match so far this season as it turned out, but will he play at that level consistently in the future?

If you had to choose McCarthy and Barry or McCarthy and Besic as your defensive mids for the rest of the season, who would
you pick?

Once again just papering over ever increasing cracks, this is a team that is still leaking goals, is weak in the Middle and unless Lukaku is given help up front will fail their.

WBA is no pushover and we will see the real Everton on Monday night, be it tearing them a new one or, as i fear slipping back into the mediocracy that has been 2014/15........

This is wrong imo.
