After a horrifically weak and fruitless (bar europe) first half of a season, we show some fight and play well for a few games and all we get is a point against City and that heartbreaking exit in the first round which means it's Europa or bust.

Horrible season to be a fan.

Well played lads. Mirallas, Lukaku and I can't be arsed thinking who else played brilliantly. Deep down I know that, barring a collapse off the back of that game (unlikely, surely) we've shown recently that we'll be fine as long as we carry on as we're going. Season's over barring a massive surprise in Europe.

Problem with tonight was as a full team, we basically looked like England, no clue in midfield no energy and no chances, come the last ten minutes we were pressing high, clinical, creating stuff on the edge of the box, like last season, it's almost like they just got on with it. Somehow we need that extra time performance with 11 players for 90 minutes and we'll be sorted.

So much pish and tosh. I'm proud of them. Proper "I'm an Evertonian" proud! They were spent at the end of that and we still could have won it in normal time and extra. Penalties is anyones game. I wanna join the queue to belt that Adrian tit as well (despite it being my name like). Proper pleased with the lads. Roll on west Brom cos we're gonna give 'em a thumping.

well they gave it everything so you cant complain to much. but what the fook was mcready thing of?
might be a blessing in the long run with are injury list and number of games to come.

This is the first time I've been proud of us in many months.

Very unlucky to go out but the bigger story here is damn, we look like a football team again. HAVE to build on the performance.

this basically. we still played poor, but we also played well if that makes sense. west ham did play very well themselves and we played one of the form teams in britain, easily been one of the top 7 this season with 10 for 65 mins, with a bundle of injuries.

martinez has to stop keeping barry on over besic though, he simply has to. i know he's doing it because he thinks barry has more experience/is better defensively, but this besic kid is something else, he's man marks with almost perfect success messi and bale in the last calender year. barry is just undoing all our good work this season, is a shadow of the player of last season as much as it pains me to say it. martinez has been let down big time by his experienced players and the younger deputisers like joel, stones and besic are showing him the light.
