Joel played very well in the match but seriously, I have never seen a worse goalkeeping display in a penalty shoot out.

He made it easy for every single Hammers penalty taker.

He was fantastic! But just because you're a goalkeeper doesn't mean you're unable to take a penalty, it's a very simple technique to run up to the ball and kick it with the side of your foot.
