I missed the first half hour, but Mirallas, Oviedo and Barry all looked good in the fifteen minutes up to half-time.

I like the fact that Martinez has found a means of getting Oviedo a start even though Baines is at LB, and I like it even more that in doing so he's found a way to shift Mirallas away from the right of midfield and into a position where he can be more influential.

The yellow cards for Yacob and the other lad may prove to be important - if Mirallas, McCarthy and Barry can bait either of them into a second yellow, we're laughing.
