Martinez left a dark shadow over the place. One which hasn't been lifted.
Allardyce will just leave gravy stains everywhere!

the rot started under him when he dismantled the team spirit and togetherness which had been built up over many years.Martinez left a dark shadow over the place. One which hasn't been lifted.
more like dangling a piece of string in front of a cat.Why do people start threads on Martinez knowing what it does to @davek? It's like giving candy to a baby ffs (not a knock on Dave BTW, we all have a past manager we dote on)
The first season wasn’t the problem Dave , it’s the 2 that followed were the problemIt's like falling off a log: how on earth can anyone not successfully defend a manager who gave us our best PL season - one that will probably stand as a record for another 10 years?
I have no idea how his detractors think they can avoid that fundamental truth. It's like they think if they say he was rubbish enough times it'll be accepted.
I know. Two mid-table finishes, two cup semi finals and a round of 16 in Europe. It's soooo much better now.The first season wasn’t the problem Dave , it’s the 2 that followed were the problem

I have many fond memories of Martinez first season.... double over Man U with Moyes getting sacked day after home game, Arsenal 3-0, Baines 2 free kicks against West Ham, Barkleys goal at Newcastle, the race for 4th, which was realistic for a long time. (I think we ended the season with the most points of any team that didn't get into CL).The first season wasn’t the problem Dave , it’s the 2 that followed were the problem
93/94 team was putred, 97/98 & 2/3rds of 98/99 was also dog shoite !
