We're gutted to lose Klaassen

Surely this signing means the end of Barkley I can't see where Barkley would fit other than as a sub now in our strongest midfield

I'd have gana, Schneids, Klassen and even Davies ahead of Barkley right now in that central midfield area

Just play Ross higher up the field. Really think he'd be more productive with better teammates.

Nice that mate and a nice assessment of his talent, not sure if youve seen this vid, but its a must watch.

Hadnt seen this video myself... wow i am super excited to see him next season, have we had a really solid 1 touch player since Arteta?

It's hardly like Ross plays all the good balls and his teammates are letting him down... Ross misplaces 5 yard passes and never releases the ball at the right moment. Better teammates won't help him do those things better.

Good point. I wonder if Gravesen or Carsley or Pistone or Pienaar or some such player did?

Pretty certain Coleman has captained the side since taking over as captain of Ireland.

Though by listening to some of the posts on here, all Irish are apparently British. I'm not sure if it's possible to explain to people how offensive some of the posts earlier in this thread are to an Irishman... and frankly I'm surprised that rhetoric which I would've considered to be "toryite" is being spouted on an Everton forum.

They probably think it's a compliment to be thought of as still part of the delapidated and murderous British Empire.

I am Irish and to be perfectly honest I did initially feel offended by this sort of thing, but then I thought I would need to attach some sort of weight to what is being said, in order to do this I would have to attach some sort of credence to the person saying it.
Someone once told me "We all have the right to speak, you have to earn the right to be listened to".
Some of us have yet to earn that right.

Watching more of ol' Davy, he's like someone built an inverse Ross Barkley, it's quite striking. Not very physically imposing or fast, not the most incredible technique, but works his socks off and absolutely LIGHTENING quick thinking. His speed and quality of decision making is remarkable.

True, I just think it's a bit crazy. I couldn't imagine a modern person in Austria thinking that anyone from Serbia was essentially Austrian. I definitely couldn't imagine them believing that "the Serbs just want to be Austrian anyway"...

Regardless if a British person claims Irish people as being British then they should also be claiming people from the US, half the Carribbean, Sudan, Lesotho, Benin, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Somalia, Nigeria, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait etc etc.

It's ludicrous and shows a complete ignorance to history, but then again a lot of my mates from the UK do say that very little of this is taught in schools - specifically the history between Ireland and the British Empire.
