We're chit, and we're going down - but why does nobody in the media think so?

Just for shits & giggles I've checked what our odds to be relegated are with the bookies currently.

William Hill have us at 40/1 - there's ten other clubs with shorter odds than that and the closest are Bournemouth at 25/1..

I might actually stick a fiver on that for a laugh.

Like we nicked draws against Chelsea City and Liverpool yeah
This is the Allardyce regime now mate. The moral has been well and truly sapped since those early games of his management. Our 'form' over nearly a third of a season under his stewardship (11 games) is relegation form. You think the players are just going to suddenly wake up and remember how to play football?

Mate, I know you are down, but we’ve won 2 in the last 5. We will win at least one of the home games and draw another at least.

We are absolutely useless, but so are another 10 sides!

Freudian slip?

I remember this song being sung quite often during our terrible years in the 90s, with but "you're" instead of "we're", and another word instead of "chit".

I genuinely don't get how literally all of those in the media are talking as if we're safe and will be in the Premier League next season. Have they not seen our form? Do they not see we only realistically have three games left we can win this season? Forget all away games and forget City and Liverpool at home, our only winnable games now are Brighton, Newcastle and Southampton at home. We're quickly being sucked into the relegation mix and seemingly everybody in the media is oblivious to it?

Why?

I think we have a chance of beating Swansea and Huddersfield personally. Also we drew with the RS away, there'll be a hostile atmosphere for that game and think we could get something out of that.

Might be worth me lobbing 100 bones on us to go down, as at least it'd soften the blow significantly.

Certainly not optimistic, but realistically there is a very good chance we win the next game and move to within touching distance of safety. My only concern is Everton’s habit of bucking trends and slump busting. Burnley have never won when conceding first in the prem, Sam Allardyce has never been relegated.....
Not quite true...In January 1997, Allardyce made his return to football as manager of struggling Division Two club Notts County. He arrived too late to save them from relegation in 1996–97, and in his autobiography described how the players "would not respond" to his coaching methods as they went 18 games without a win and pressure mounted on Allardyce.
