Yesterday's team and performance confirmed that for me.

We are an absolute joke if the best we can come up with is Phil Jagielka in defensive midfield.

Rodwell isn't up to the Premiership yet, give him time and he is fine but as soon as a player closes him down, he goes trigger and gives it away.

Gosling is awful in midfield, keep him to a position like RB where your averageness isn't always exposed.

Osman can't play behind Yakubu - fact.

So that was our starting eleven yesterday basically? Cahill won't be fit.

If we don't sign a defensive midfielder for this Saturday, we'll get completley mashed.

It's obvious something is not right, 6 days to the season, 5 gone and none in.

We're a mess, no one can deny it.

I agree to be honest, watching yesterdays game put me on a real downer. I just hope we can get one or two players in before the Blackburn game. Golsing is the only player I don't want to see in there, he simply isn't ready.

The system was the most worrying thing, no one was working in tandem. Arteta and Osman didn't know where they where playing, Gosling looked lost and we couldn't maintain possession.

Arteta is key and he must be played in the right position, either centre midfield or as a right sided midfielder. I don't want to see him playing the "Cahill role" as he doesn't get involved enough. He needs to be a little deeper (centre midfield/right midfield) where he can effect the game and use his dribbling ability. Please don't play him as a second striker.

On the positive note Pienaar looked very bright and he's excellent at linking up with Yakubu, that's a key partnership for me. They know each others games very well. Maybe we should look at playing Pienaar off Yakubu, he's more mobile than Osman and has the ability to get closer to him when we are attacking.

Rodwell I think will be fine if he is around experienced midfielders, if we have both Gosling and Rodwell in there then I'll be worried. The back four is also a positive, we are really strong there with Jags, Lescott and Yobo.

Yeh i said that Kenwright said 3 signings, but it doesn't mean i believe him.

And even if we sign someone, i'd actually highly doubt Moyes will play them straight away.

That's the likely team that going to play though, that's the exact sytem that will come up against Blackburn.

I'm a realist, I see that team and I see we've got problems if we don't get the system right.

Not sure on the permit regarding M'Bia but he is in the olympics anyway so wont be here. If moutinho signed he would be straight into the team

I watched it mate and didnt think it was that bad, i think Moyes dicked around and tried players in different postitions and rested and rotaed a few given next week. Also gave 16 year olds a run, exactly the way your supposed to in pre-season firendlies.

If anything i think he told the players to take it easy and not to get injured.

I would read f-all in to yesterdays result or performence incidently PSV are a very good side!

I can't think of a club outside the proverbial Top 4 that doesn't have a worry. If you think we're in trouble, then take a look at Blackburn. Friedel hid plenty of glaring weaknesses in that defence over the last several years.

Not much of a need to panic right now. Let's see how this club responds in the day to come.
