Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
England debut for Lescott today and with Ashley Cole injured there has to be a reasonable chance that he'll play at left back against Russia.

Anyway, I thought he did ok on his debut and playing internationals on a regular basis can only help his game. Congrats :)

The thing that pissed me off with his debut and another appearance by Phil Neville - is why the need to wear Shitty Red Boots when playing for England:angry:

Better Dead than Red !!

I wouldn't say he looked out of his depth, but he seems more comfortable on the left flank then in the middle...both for club and country.

Can't believe he wasn't on instead of Campbell perhaps it had a direct effect on his game. Hopefully he'll start against Russia get a couple of goals and become indispensable in the heart of England's defence (al la Gareth Barry, who was immense today Frank Lampard can [Poor language removed] off for England.)

I have to admit I've never been so interested in England since the Euro 96. Finally through injuries we have a team that can play some decent football I just hope that Gareth Barry stays in this side we should invest in him in January or the summer.

Well played both Neville and Lescott lets hope they get some time on the pitch against Russia.

It will help his game when he starts to feel comfortable in this kind of surroundings. The more players we get onto this stage, hopefully the more comfortable we'll start to feel in possession.

For the Russia game have this horrible feeling that McLaren will move heaven and Earth to find a LB rather than play Lescott. Just hope he does'nt and Jo-Lo plays.

As for lampard, we were 3-0 up why bring him on for Owen, surely it would have been better to have a striker for a striker. Noticed as well when Lampard came on is when our midfield seemed to get a bit mixed up about who was to play where and Estonia made some chances.

Couldn't agree more Robert, great post mate(y)

I'm getting fed up listening to the bollocks being spouted by so-called experts with regards to Lescott. It looks like he will be playing at left-back, and all I'm hearing is how he "brings nothing going forwards" and will "be exposed by pacey wingers."

These bandwagon riding knobs have obviously never seen Lescott play.

Absolutely, nobody gets past him and I hear he has scored the odd goal or 2. Just ignore them, all the pundits are red [Poor language removed] anyways.

Just look at the sort of tossers who are saying this. [Poor language removed] players? sports writers? [Poor language removed]!! these are the sort of people who said we'd never get europe of 4th a couple of years ago.
