The paradox is that this has been our biggest drubbing of the season but it is by far our best performance.

If you discount the first five minutes and the last eight or nine.

So frustrating - but we were always going to need a few games before the team start to gel. We've also played Chelsea, United and City away as well as Spurs. I know it aint great but we did look much better today. We're 4 or 5 points off where we want to be, start winning games now & we'll quickly climb the table. COYB

Do not mistake an observable improvement with the team for lack of ambition. It's just reality. A few of us on here have both demanded and seen the best Everton sides in the last 50+ years.......

We barely create any chances - and we haven't all season, even against crap Euro teams.
We also look a bit of a mess at the back, and are an injury or two away from being very stretched.

It's a bad bad combination.

After the last couple of matches, and especially that dire lifeless performance in the Europa, it looked bad. Today, even with a 4-0 score line, we could see that we can play decent football and compete with the best. The result completely flatters Utd, and they know it. We will do OK now........
