Any suggestions/hopes/fears of the "best" team not to reach the WC will be?

Most groups in Europe have played slightly more than half their games now and the other continents are also closing in on the last games. Who will miss out and will any "big" countries be left standing?

Mexico makes it to the finals every year but they are in real trouble right now.

The ONLY thing going for them is that most of the rest of their qualifiers are at home at Azteca stadium and they never lose there (once in the last 20 years plus)

USA should qualify but we haven't looked too strong our last few matches. Costa Rica really hammered us this past Wed. night. Got back on track with a 2-1 win at home over Honduras.

It is going to be very hot in SA next summer, will the european season allow an acclimatisation period at the end of the respective seasons, or will it be a two day before type last minute get together so there is a nice big excuse.
