If he wasn't signed for marketing reasons, we could drop him to the bench. He'd be effective as a killer option with 30 minutes to go.

Him and Pickford have been our two best or most consistent players this season, of course Wayne should start, he hasn't been a problem, the lack of striker or team selection/set up has.
Don't forget until we unleashed the monster that is Niasse he was responsible for the goals that gained all of our early season points, starts tonight and Sunday

He was outstanding against Stoke... he scored against city... he has had chances against split and played well against Man U and could have had a couple there... a bit more luck and he would be on 5-6 goals. The whole team has been bad and we have played the best teams in the league... our form and his influence should pick up again as we go through this run of games... play him along side a strike partner and play siggy as a 10 and they will both improve imo

He's shown in patches what a quality player he was. Not at the same level now but we have no one better.

He's trying to do too much Joey.

A player with his footballing brain can see all the problems that we have on the pitch and he's trying to cover all the bases.

As a result he's running himself into the ground every game.

It's not his fault he's surrounded by Koemans legion of number 10's.

But I dont think it's the multiple number 10s, it's more that he's on a different level that they're slow to react.

He shouldn't be first name on the team sheet. Yes he can be very useful for us but what's the problem starting Iceland in the #10 for a game or two and changing it up a little bit, and if that's not working bring Wayne on later? Plus we should be managing his minutes anyway, he's no spring chicken, like. We cannot continue with Ajax, Wayne, and Iceland on the pitch at the same time FFS
