Not having him here in his prime is right up there with the lack of money and King's Dock debacle as the greatest tragedies in my 25 years as a blue. We missed out on a lot of great goals and good times. Once the boots are finally hangin' that'll become clearer and clearer to him as well, as the years pass; especially if he comes back in a coaching role and he can't be on the pitch.

Sooner he's gone the better, why on earth we would ever have wanted him beggars belief. He was washed up at 29, Mourinho must have laughed his head off at our utter stupidity. Hopefully our new setup will be far more savvy!

Personally, he did as well as I expected him to in terms of a goal return. Would have liked to see more consistency but he was part of an under-performing team all round. Certainly not the worst player, by some stretch.
